I've installed 'gnuplot' version 4.2.3 for SunOS 5.5.1 on a sparc workstation and have run into two problems. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I downloaded the package from www.sunfreeware.com. This looks like a fantastic tool if I can get by these problems. ============================================================== The first is that I seem to have broken something related to fonts for existing Applications. E.g. when I try to start emacs (which I believe is an X-window application), I get this message: Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion Warning: Cannot convert string "-dt-interface \ system-medium-r-normal-m*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" to type FontSet 'gzip' and 'gunzip' also gives this message or one like it. ============================================================== The second one is that the plot tics are labeled "g". This is true for X11, JPEG, and dumb terminal types (the only ones I've tried). Here is an example: gnuplot> set term dumb Terminal type set to 'dumb' Options are 'feed 79 24' gnuplot> plot "-" with lines input data ('e' ends) > 1 2 input data ('e' ends) > 2 4 input data ('e' ends) > 3 6 input data ('e' ends) > 4 8 input data ('e' ends) > 5 10 input data ('e' ends) > e [truncated for this e-mail message] g ++-------+--------+--------+---------+--------+-------- ... + + + + + + ... g ++ ... | ... | ... g ++ * ... | **** ... g ++ **** ... | *** ... | **** ... g ++ *** ... | **** ... g ++ **** ... | **** ... | **** ... g ++ *** ... | **** ... g ++ **** ... | *** ... + **** + + + + + ... g **-------+--------+--------+---------+--------+-------- ... g g g g g g ...
