Well, you copy a bitmap image, but ... what is it? Usually something 
uncompressed with unknown resolution. Going via png file with known 
dimension, saved to disk, cropped with an image editor, is a way to get 
what you want; and much smaller in size afterwards.
   Or, is there an option in office apps to compress all images? I remember 
some versions claimed to have it, but I don't which soft.
