Hello, I am trying to convert an outputed ps file from gnuplot using :www.ps2pdf.com. I get error messages as follows: Conversion results are: Error: /undefined in UL Operand stack: 1.0 Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1905 1 3 %oparray_pop 1904 1 3 %oparray_pop 1888 1 3 %oparray_pop 1771 1 3 %oparray_pop --nostringval-- %errorexec_pop .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- Dictionary stack: --dict:1143/1684(ro)(G)-- --dict:0/20(G)-- --dict:71/200(L)-- --dict:19/256(L)-- --dict:18/256(L)-- --dict:18/256(L)-- Current allocation mode is local Current file position is 12194 GPL Ghostscript 8.61: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1 I don't know where the error is coming from. Either from the ps generation of the ps2pdf conversion. Attached is the PS file that I am using. Here are the steps that I am using. Terminal type set to 'windows' gnuplot> cd 'D:/DATA/test filter/stability gnuplot> load 'gnuscript104823.gnu gnuplot> set loadpath 'd:/engsw/tcl/lib/tk8.3/' gnuplot> set terminal postscript landscape color Terminal type set to 'postscript' Options are 'landscape noenhanced defaultplex \ leveldefault color colortext \ dashed dashlength 1.0 linewidth 1.0 butt \ palfuncparam 2000,0.003 \ "Helvetica" 14 ' gnuplot> set output 'test.ps' gnuplot> replot Then quit. Any help would be appreciated. |

It comes from the fact that you somehow implanted a PostScript prologue into that file that doesn't come from gnuplot, but (according to the comments in there) from Tk's canvas object. > Terminal type set to 'windows' > gnuplot> cd 'D:/DATA/test filter/stability > gnuplot> load 'gnuscript104823.gnu > gnuplot> set loadpath 'd:/engsw/tcl/lib/tk8.3/' This might be the culprit. 'loadpath' affects where gnuplot goes looking for Postscript prologues. I would suggest you re-think this setting. |

Please try first
gnuplot> set terminal postscript landscape color
gnuplot> set out 'test2.ps'
gnuplot> test
gnuplot> set out
gnuplot> exit
Then goto the folder ...\gs\gs8.61\bin and drop test2.ps
to gswin32.exe
Perhaps you can see the ps test view.
If it went well, the possibility:
1. An accident happend in creating ps file from your gnuplot script
2. There is some problem in your gnuplot script
Anyway please check the first whether your ps file is valid or not at ps2pdf.
Regards
Tatsuro
