[Gnuplot-info] Gnuplot pi symbol appearance

Hi,

I'm trying to use "{/Symbol p}" to show the lowercase pi symbol on my graph
axes. When I use it, I get a symbol that looks like a smaller version of the
uppercase pi, rather than the usual (more curved) lowercase version. Is
there a way I can fix this? I thought it might be to do with my choice of
terminal or font but changing them doesn't seem to help.

One thing I have tried is using the script on this page to plot a graph:

That person successfully managed to get lowercase pi's, however when I plot
a graph with the exact same script, the pi's come out differently. The link
below is a screen shot: the graph on the left is copied and pasted from the
link above, and the graph on the right is my plot using the exact same
script. Does anyone know why the symbols don't look the same?

Also, I'm using Gnuplot 4.6 in Windows 7 if that makes any difference.

I have to say gnuplot's own symbol rendering is a pain to me as well. Maybe
you can use the epslatex terminal to use standard latex command to generate
these symbols.
