[Gnuplot-info] Label in Gnuplot 4.4

Hello all,

  I am Trying to print labels in my graph but the are not showing. I am
using the gnuplot 4.4 patchlevel 0 on Fedora 14,  the script:

set terminal png   nocrop enhanced  size 1700,680
set output 'result.png'

set title "16682 Estrelas em volta da Proxima Centauri ( 200 º )"
set xlabel "Temperatura Kelvin"
set ylabel "EStrela Menor <- Magnitude absoluta -> Estrela Maior"

set xrange [5000:8000] nowriteback
set yrange [-1:10] reverse nowriteback
set grid
set key box
set label 100 "laabel" at 1, 1

plot 0
#plot 'dados/1proc.csv' with points pointsize 0.3 lt 3 title "Estrelas"


What i am doing wrong ?

your xrange starts at 5000, but your label is positioned at x=1, so
it's out of the plot area.
