I've been trying things and reading the Gnuplot manual for over an hour, so
I thought I'd ask the experts. I'm using gnuplot-4.0 patchlevel 0 with
AquaTerm on a G5 Mac running under OS X 10.3.5.
Is there a way of coloring (shading) only the lines with splot? I have
written x, y, z triplets of my data (7 curves) and successfully read the
data into gnuplot. I would like to have the plot lines "fade to white" when
the signal amplitude (the z-variable) is low, and darken when the signal
amplitude is high.
So far my attempts to use pm3d map does correctly shades the data, but the
plot has a shaded fill area between the curve and the x-axis, not just a
shaded curve. This tends to cover up other data. How do I plot only the
curves while using something like pm3d?
Any ideas? Thanks.
