Here was how I installed the gnuplot: su; ./configure; make; make
check; make install;
After finished the installation I opened a terminal window, typed
"gnuplot". I then typed " set terminal to png" and got the error
message. The log file I checked is "gnuplot-4.2.3/config.log", the
words I found are in the log file. I do think the config.log file
belongs to the "gnuplot", but maybe this is not the correct file I
should check?
