[Gnuplot-info] Plotting multiple data files to a cgm file

Hi,

I am trying to plot multiple data files to a cgm file so that I can include
it in a MS document. In gnuplot terminal I type:

set terminal cgm
set output 'output_file_name.cgm'
plot "first_data_file" with lines
replot "second_data_file" with lines

when I load the cgm output file in MS word, only the first data file shows
up in the plotting. I noticed that the cgm output file size increases as I
re-plot the second data file, however it only shows what was plotted with
the "plot" command. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there a
solution?

By the way, when I set the terminal as x11 I can see all data file plots on
the figure!!!!!

I would appreciate all help to solve this...

Why?

Why is it that every new user of gnuplot falls into this trap of 
thinking that "replot" is the only way of plotting two multiple files in 
a single diagram?

Is it really so hard to find out out from "help plot" that the following 
should work:

   plot "first_data_file" with lines, "second_data_file" with lines
