[Gnuplot-info] stereoview

Hi All,

I have been trying to use gnuplot to produce a stereoview image.

Using multiplot I am able to plot the two 3D scatter plots side by side
where one  image is rotated by 5 degrees relative to eachother, effectively
producing a stereoview figure.

Although, this results in an image where the axes can be visualized in 3D
all of the data is projected onto the XZplane. Has anyone else attemped to
use gnuplot to produce stereoview figures?

I guess that "set view" sets the length for projection of the data onto the
xy plane, is there another way to do this so the data responds to the set
view x rotation?

It's project into the view plane, which is more commonly referred to as 
the XY plane (Z is depth, pointing into or out of the picture), and 
until someone renders your whole idea invalid by inventing 3D paper, 
that's how it has to be done.

No, it sets the rotation of the data coordinate axes relative to those 
of the screen.  But why did you prefer to guess instead of just looking 
it up in the documentation?
