Of course. Just don't use dgrid3d :-)
Do you really need dgrid3d to make your data grid-structured?
If your absolutely do need dgrid3d, see 'help table' for a method to run
it as a separate process that writes the gridded data to a new file, so
you can turn dgrid3d off again and plot the gridded data as mesh,
combined with the original data as points.
