[Gnuplot-info] x11 terminal trouble...

Hi, just a simple help request:

I installed/updated my 4.0 gnuplot to 4.2 in a SuSE 10.2 machine. Everythin=

was working fine with 4.0, and the installation 4.2 ran with no errors; but
when I use it I don't have anymore the pop-up windows showing the plots. Th=
e
default terminal is set to "unknown" and it does not recognize the "x11"
one:

set terminal x11

produces the following error mesage:

unknown or ambiguous terminal type

Besides, I do not have any trouble using other terminals to print the plots
into files, as "postscript" and the like (or at least not with the ones I'v=
e
tried).

What could be the problem with the x11 terminal (being that the one used fo=
r
the pop-up plot windows)?

How can I solve it?

It didn't run without warnings, though.  Your Linux installations lacks 
some installed packages for compiling programs that use X11 (called 
x11-devel or the likes).
