Dear,
at the moment, when one unsets an object that doesn't exist,
gnuplot generates an error and exits. It would be better if
gnuplot would generate a warning saying unsetting is unrequired
since the object doesn't exist, and that gnuplot continues operation.
What also would be great is an enumeration possibility in the unset
argument. Eg: between consecutive plots of a multiplot plot:
unset label 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
instead of
unset label 1
unset label 2
unset label 3
unset label 4
unset label 5
unset label 6
unset label 7
unset label 8
unset label 9
or better:
unset label 1:9
