[Gnuplot-info] error bars with lines

I want to plot several series with error bars on the same plot.
for each series I want the following _lines_:
1. the main line along points (x,y)
2. the top line (x,y+ydelta)
3. the bottom line (x,y-ydelta)
4. the vertical error bar from (x,y-ydelta) to (x,y+ydelta) [this is 
actually optional because the series will have the same sets of Xs, so 
these bars will overlap anyway].

it does not look like either "with errorbars" or "with errorlines" does 
what I want, so I am prepared to pass 3*N series to gnuplot (I am doing 
this from lisp, so this is not that hard).

what baffles me is how to make the 3 lines have the same color.
any suggestions?

Read the F* manual, for starters.  "help plot", and its subnode "help 
plot with", in particular.
