[Gnuplot-info] png ignores size?

    Hi, folks!
There is gnuplot 4.0 patchlevel 0 under FreeBSD 5.5, installed from ports
with default options.
The picture is created as following:
set term png transparent interlace color giant size 800,600
But actually created picture is 640x480.
Font size (medium, large, giant) is also ignored.
Can somebody explain this?

Did you check that these options were actually accepted by your version 
of gnuplot?

Your build logfile probably can.  The printout of "show version long" 
also should.  The most likely explanation is that you didn't have GD 
installed where ./configure would have found it.
