[Gnuplot-info] limitation in 'plot with lines' ?

Dear gnuplot team.

I've installed gnuplot 4.0 over version 3.7 and it seems
for me that it does not work correctly.

I've cut the problem down:
   Using a file "data" with 2 columns and 65532 lines of
   numbers the command

   gnuplot>  plot "data" using 1:2 title "TST" with lines

   does not plot the point on the last data line.

Without the  'with lines'  directive:
   gnuplot>  plot "data" using 1:2 title "TST"
it can plot it.

A datafile with one line less (i.e. 65531) is plotted
correctly.

With version 3.7 both commands worked as expected.

Is this a known limitation or did I make anything wrong
during the installation procedure or ...?

On what platform, using which output terminal driver?

No, and probably no, in that order.
