[Gnuplot-info] how to obtain y-grid only

Good morning,
my name is Bartolo and I recently started using gnuplot.
I would like to know how can I get a graph where only the orizontal (or v=
ertical, is the same) lines of the grid are present and the x-tics (or x-=
tics) are still present on the graph?

Reading 'help set grid' should make that quite clear.
