[Gnuplot-info] bashscript

i want to write a bashscript which uses gnuplot to measure the slope of a
line from a data set (t,y)
but only for example the last 100 data of this data set file should be used
for calculation!, then result of calculation should be saved in a txt file

I am not sure that i understand your intentions.
Do you want gnuplot to fit a line to your data ?
