use arrows and additional xtics:
set xrange [0:200]
set yrange [0:3]
f(x)=x**0.2
x1=80
set arrow 1 from first x1, graph 0 to first x1, f(x1) nohead
set arrow 2 from graph 0, first f(x1) to first x1, f(x1) nohead
set xtics add (x1)
set ytics add (f(x1))
plot f(x)
the linestyle is terminal dependent, so use 'test' to see what your terminal
provides and choose the appropriate linetype.
