I managed to plot the data from a file using the dots style. The data is in
the format:
1 2 7
2 5 6
3 9 8
4 6 3
Is it possible to select a dot/datapoint in the graph with the mouse and
retrieve extra information?
E.g. when I use the second column for the x values and the third column for
the y values, I want to be able to select a point (e.g. 9,8) in the graph to
find out which number (first column) it is.
I know I could use the label option and use the first column as labels.
However, this doesn't really work when using thousands of data points. The
labels become unreadable and I only want to know the number for the points
of interest.
I hope it's possible and if not maybe there is a kind of workaround. Thanks
for your help!
