[Gnuplot-info] Plot beyond the last point

Hi all,

I want to extend my graph beyond the last point. The data is fed from a
file. I can't put a point there as I don't know the function of the curve.
What I want to do is to extend the graph beyond the last point, and get the
x values for a given y value.

Any help is highly appreciated.

nope. It just extends the range of x axsis, but not the graph

Hi,
Try curve fitting  and the use that curve for data beyond the last point. Be
careful for extrapolation errors

That you can't do, because if you "don't know the function of the 
curve", there's no way gnuplot would.
