[Gnuplot-info] Help needed with labels.

Hi,

I need to display the value of a fitted parameter on the graph itself.

I was able to do this *within gnuplot* using:

set label 'm = %3.5f',m at 1600, 100  

However, when I try to do the same thing *from within a C++ program*, I can
never get the correct value displayed.
The value always differs. I`m using: 

fprintf(gnuplot, "set label 'm = %3.5f', m at 1600, 100\n"); 

in the C++ program. I have worked it out that the problem lies with the
format specifier %3.5f and
I have exhausted ALL possibilities possible but nothing I do displays the
correct value.

Can someone please help me out?

to tell 'fprintf()' that you want a '%' in the output double it:
fprintf(gnuplot, "set label 'm = %%3.5f', m at 1600, 100\n");

[Gnuplot-info] Expression in title

Hi,

Is there a way to put an expression in the title of a plot command?
gnuplot> plot a.dat .... title column(1)

The above is allowed, it seems that the following is not:
gnuplot> plot a.dat .... title ('a-'. column(1))
