gnuplot-info

[Gnuplot-info] term gif and png in gnuplot 4.2

Hi,
I need to make animations with gnuplot. I have seen that it was possible with the last version of gnuplot and have downloaded it.
But now, gnuplot no longer has the gif and png terminal...
Do I need to download something else?

No, it hasn't.  Your binary may not have them, but that's because how it 
was built, not because gnuplot "lost" them somehow.

How should we know?  You didn't tell us what exactly you downloaded, so
how can we know whether it's what you need or not?  You didn't even 
mention what platform you're on.

Hmm. So gnuplot 4.2 is in portage since a few hours now.

And i already installed it. pdf terminal there, but a png terminal is
missing.

Maybe the ebuilds need some fixing :-(

Do you compile gnuplot yourself? You should. And be sure, that libpng
stuff is installed (headers, libs, ...).
