[Gnuplot-info] to set precision of the tic marks to desired accuracy

[baalkikhaal <col...@gm...>]

hi
i have data with 6 decimal places precision
on plotting, gnuplot, by default, rounds off the tick marks to 3 decimal
places precision.
i tried increasing lmargin indefinitely but to no use

is there a way to set precision of the ticks

suppose i have to decrease precision of the data itself rather than precision
of the  representation of data, is there a way to do it in gnuplot or should
we rely on preprocessing with the help of awk?

gnuplot can filter on-the-fly.  Rounding is well within the limits of 
what can be done that way.
