Hi Hans,

I know you can pipe actual numbers to gnuplot from
some code (one of the things I've always loved about
gnuplot is that I can plot data from my simulations in
real time from my code!) - is this not the same as
what you guys are calling 'online'?

No.  What are you talking about?  gnuplot plot data from files.  It's
_your_ business to generate those files.
