[Gnuplot-info] How do I plot explicit coords

Hi:  

 

I'm new at using gnuplot, so please bear with me.

 

I would like to use "plot" to plot an explicit set of coordinates (not
by reading them throug a file and not with user interaction at the CLI).

 

So, instead of....

 

   plot "mydata.dat" ....

 

I would like something like....

 

   plot [1,1 2,2 3,3 4,4] ...

 

The on-line docs on this don't seem to allow this option, yet it's so
basic and simple, you'd think it would be allowed somehow.
