OK I found that it will be easier to create some data files, instead of integrating all data in one file and doing complex string formatting, and invoke them with plot command.

The chart contains some series (manufacturer name) and each series has some data points (a model at a given year). For example

The data is interpreted in this way: AMD released K8 in 2003 and the value of K8 is 64. Or IBM released POWER5 in 2004 and the value of POWER5 is 32
So each point (the junction at year and value) has a label (K8, K10, ...).
I looked in to the examples but all I saw were data points without labels and are easy ti understand.
