[Gnuplot-info] label and coefficient in file

Dear Gnuplot user,
I would like to graph a (large) number of curves of the following
structure:

coef1*x +coef2*x**2

I could generate a file with in the first column the label of the graph,
in the second column the first coefficient and in the third column the
second coefficient. Is there a way to plot those curves efficiently
without manually having to enter all coefficients and graph labels into
a plot command?=20

It would be great if you could give me some directions.=20

depends on what you mean by 'generate a file'

if you are generating the file containing labels and coefficients with
a program, you could generate the whole plot command instead
and let gnuplot execute it as a script file.
