to my knowledge, only 'by hand':
set arrow 1 from 0.5,1.5 to 40.5,1.5 front nohead
set arrow 2 from 0.5,2.5 to 40.5,2.5 front nohead
...
set arrow 39 from 0.5,39.5 to 40.5,39.5 front nohead
set arrow 40 from 1.5,0.5 to 1.5,40.5 front nohead
set arrow 41 from 2.5,0.5 to 2.5,40.5 front nohead
...
set arrow 78 from 39.5,0.5 to 39.5,40.5 front nohead
it would be a good idea to produce a script containing
these commands and reading it in whenever it's needed.
