Doing it exactly that way would mean you do this directly in /usr/bin,
i.e. you put your own files into a distribution-managed directory.
That's not exactly optimal. It's better to keep such things in
directories that belong to the user, e.g.
ln -s /usr/bin/wx-config-3.0 ~/bin/wx-config
The canonical tool for this job would be the 'alternatives' mechanism
(see /etc/alternatives/*), but for whatever reason cygwin doesn't use
that for this particular job.
