Possible FAQ

Hi,

I've been looking for a way of overlaying a vector field upon a pm3d 
surface with no success so far. This is similar than putting contours 
over a surface with the difference that it seems I can't use splot to 
draw vectors, but only plot with proper options.

You either haven't read "help vectors" lately, or you're using an 
out-of-date version.  gnuplot 4.2 supports splot with vectors.
