I have placed a testing version of the source release package for
gnuplot 6.0.6 on the "testing" section of the SourceForge download site.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gnuplot/files/gnuplot/testing/
Yes, this is a bit earlier than usual for the next patchlevel release.
Several of the bugs reported and fixed over the last couple of
months seemed serious enough to be worth an update.
Brief release notes below, or see
gnuplot.sourceforge.net/ReleaseNotes_6_0_6.html

Bug fixes in 6.0.6
------------------
* wxt terminal did not function correctly when running under Wayland
- failed to update display between plots #Bug# 2890
- failed to show zoom box #Bug# 2891
* Plotting an empty data block could trigger a segfault #Bug# 2882
* Declaring "local array A" at depth 0 could trigger a segfault #Bug# 2885
* Necessary tests for overflow were 'optimized' out (gcc15, clang21) #Bug# 2883
- This broke handling of both floating point and signed integer overflow
- Overflow handling now instead uses compiler builtin checks if available
- Overflow handling in gnuplot can be tested by "load 'overflow_tests.gp'"
* "set contourfill defined" produced misleading error messages #Bug# 2886
* ./configure --with-metafont failed to be include the mf terminal #Bug# 2888
* Mousing failed for multiplots containing linked x1/x2 or y1/y2 axes #Bug# 2887
* "if" filter did not read a field not also in the "using" specifier #Bug# 2895
Changes in 6.0.6
----------------
* Environmental variable SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH, if set, is used for timestamps
- This allows reproducible builds of documentation and demo output
* Any single line in a data block can be replaced with a new string
- $DATA[i] = "new string content"
