gnuplot-beta

It turns out SourceForge dropped me from the mailing list not
long before Ethan's plea for conversion assistance. I didn't
notice until I recently heard elsewhere about SourceForge ending
CVS commit support and thought of gnuplot. I would have gladly
helped, but it seems I'm too late now; sorry. However, I'm happy
to assist going forward with git questions or any remaining
conversion work.
