Hi all.

How much do we care about consistent indentation style in the code? If we care
at all, it'd be good to include a .dir-locals.el file in the root directory in
the repo, so that emacs users get the "right" styling automatically. I'm
attaching a first pass at such a file. Not completely sure if this represents
the desired style fully, but it's a good first pass.
