#2471 Configure fails to detect libgd when the library uses only pkg-config and not gdlib-config

Hi,

I seem to have issue with the configure script which does not seem to be able to correctly locate libgd. My understanding of the situation is that the script makes a query against pkg-config and expects libgd_CPPFLAGS (and others) to be set. The problem is that instead libgd_CFLAGS is being set. I am attaching a patch which fixes the situation for me.

I am compiling gnuplot 5.4.2 and the patch will be used to make gnuplot available on Solaris.
