#1702 sin(x) no smooth curve

Hi,

I am running gnuplot 5.0 on my macbook using terminal and aqua.
If I plot sin(x) and have my x range set to 2pi the plot looks good as usual.
But if I set the range a bit wider the curve is not smooth any more but has some ugly straight lines.
I attached the pictures to show what I mean.

That's not a bug, simply increase the number of samples

set samples 5000
