We haven't enhanced gmail-mobile for a long time. It seems that different phones have different compatibility and tolerability to the standard. This, unfortunately, makes gmail-mobile very hard to debug, to work universally, and to improve.... read more
Be aware that the WAP protocol is not secure, unlike HTTPS. That means your account name and password are sent in clear text, and EVERYONE (e.g. some gateway) in between your WAP phone and your server will be able to read your account name and password directly. This is possible, especially the gateway may have logged every requests/responses go through it.
So use it at your own risk...
Some of the changes:
- Uses libgmailer 0.6.4
- Can now choose between using PHP Session or cookies for session management
