I'm runing Version 4.1pre4 - 2002-10-24 on Fedora Core 1.
I've just got it working (mostly) in the past few days. l got all of my files and data transfered over from jukebox running on Redhat 7 and jukebox 4.01.
I noticed both last night and tonight that after I had left it paused from about midnight until about 7pm, it would play the rest of the song that had been paused and then I'd get no sound. playit.pl is racing through the queue, and it's being repopulated as it goes along. 'A ps -aux | grep play' shows that playit.pl is running, but no playmp3.pl is running.
Tonight I killed playit.pl and a few seconds later the mp3s started playing again. Last night I issued '/usr/local/jukebox jukebox stop' and then '/usr/local/jukebox jukebox start'
I've scoured through the help forum and didn't find anybody with the same problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am used to leaving the jukebox paused anywhere from a few minutes to several days with no problem, and that is the behaviour I'm shooting for on the new machine.

I stopped everything and started playit.pl and ripd.pl from the command line. This morning I unpaused the jukebox and got the following at the commandline while it was still playing the song that had been paused.

When the song that was paused gets over. The errors change to this. And nothihng plays.
