The current homepage is almost 4 years old and could use a new look! It displays the old wood theme, but I don't think anyone uses that anymore. It also lacks a lot information.
Should we make a new home page? And what should we have on the page?
A small list of things missing:
- Up to date screenshots
- Add-ons (simple scripts, patches, clients)
- News posting system
It's possible to have a mysql server, so we could have a simple demonstration page? Without streaming, downloading etc, but with browsing, voting, searching, sorting, selecting different themes.
Because there is a mysql server at sourceforge we also could use a CMS.
Does anyone have suggestions?

A pretty late reply, but I've been playing with Drupal.
It sounds nice, but I think it's a little bit overkill. It would be nice to keep the current layout or make layout from one of the new gjukebox themes and I don't think drupal is the right tool for this.
I also was overwhelmed with modules. There are a lot modules and they are all listed in the modules section, without a decent description. I spend a long time figuring out what every module did.
About your suggestions:
HowTo for debian -> Could also be posted in the wiki or INSTALL document in the sources.
Release History -> Sourceforge and NEWS document in the sources.
A forum for users -> This one? I hate it, but having 2 forums will mess things up, even if we close this one.

This is another late reply, since I don't visit this site very often. I've been here a few times, somewhere last year when I first downloaded and installed GJukebox and again this week when I needed to install it again, after formatting my server.
First of all, my compliments to everyone how contributed to this project. It must have been quitte an effort to create such a feature-rich jukebox. I really like it.
About the site: Personally I think there is very little information available for such a complicated program.
Especially for an inexperienced Linuxuser like myself it's really hard to install GJukebox. It took me 2 days the last time, trying to find all the neccesary requirements etc.
Also, the information is pretty outdated. Some of the required modules aren't actively maintained at this time.
It would be nice to mention this at the site. Also, to show the project is still alive, it would be good to mention some news or a statement which explains what is going on behind the scenes.
I'd like to see a comprehensive documentationsection, which briefly explains the required libs, programs etcetera. Off course this information is available at their different sites, but mostly very brief and an overview of these items would be nice.
I'd like to contribute to these pages where possible.
Why do you think 2 forums shall mess things up, when you'd close this one? It isn't really userfriendly. Something like YaBB or phpBB seems better to me.
My remarks are ment as positive critisism. I hope it helps.

That RPM sounds great to me. Could save new users a lot of headache. But some of us like to compile from source. Than it would be nice to have some background info and a community to consult.
That's why I would like to see a new site. Since there are more jukeboxes on the market, a good site is one way to distinguish gjukebo from the masses.
Also a professional looking site would encourage users to choose gjukebox. Besides that, it would be nice if such a site would show the public that there is a community supporting gjukebox. Personally I've got no idea if anyone is ever reading this site. Judging by the dates of most posts in the forum, there isn't much activity.
Time to bring the project back to life!
I'm currently making a concept site to demonstrate what I mean with my ideas. If I find the time, I'll try to write some docs while I'm at it.
I'll post the URL as soon as it is finished. I would like to hear what the project staff thinks of it all.

You could use drupal (www.drupal.org).
It's a nice CMS, it has Add-Ons like "Features" (for software), Bug Reports, Software-documentation etc.
Some of the features are not installed by default so don't wonder where they are.

I see several references to "I wish someone would list all the prerequisites" or something similar.
Wouldnt it be easier to just create an rpm that had the dependencies already in it? And maybe put it in one of the popular yum repos?
Then install could be "yum install gjuke"
