#727 HP Deskjet 840c: first page is not printed correctly
Hello,
yesterday I repaired setup again an old printer I was not using anymore, the HP Deskjet 840c, willing to use it as secondary wireless printer for my house.
However, test prints with Gutenprint (from Linux) happen to have a very strange issue where the first page is never printed properly: maybe some "initialization" issue of some kind (bad header?) makes the first page be printed as random gibberish (sometimes patterns of image-like dots, sometimes just some random characters at the top of the page) while all next pages are properly done. This issue does not exist using the "NekoPrint" Android app, which I am not sure of what driver uses.
I am here for further information and tests. I'd like to thank you again for your work, as supporting old printers essentially means preventing all the waste due to the lack of modern drivers.
Apparently this does not always happen, which makes it hard to reproduce...
