#107 Newest Release (1.63.1b4) : App Crashes Instantly When Opened
The app crashes instantly when you try to open it w/ the latest release ( v1.63.1b4 ) on my tablet ( Tab S8 Ultra ). My cellphone ( Galaxy S10+ ) does not have this problem w/ the update so it seems to be an issue specifically w/ my tablet. The app works perfectly on my tablet w/ the previous release ( v1.63b4 ) so their must be a bug w/ the latest version.
Sorry for the troubles caused by the latest beta. Could you please send me a logcat? Assuming your tablet is not rooted, the only convenient way is to plug it to your computer and use adb to record and save the logcat records. Thank you in advance.
Im sorry my device is not rooted & I do not have a PC atm. I can do it once I get my replacement. I can also use ADB via Shizuku so if it is possible to do it that way I will.

Just an update the latest patch released today (1.63.1b6) did not resolve the issue. If you want me to give you another set of crash logs or any additional info lmk.
I tried both on API34 and API35 emulators as well as on a Samsung S23 (android 14), and the behaviour you posted was not observed. However, I followed some recommendations regarding this matter and just hope that would solve the issue on your device.
Since I was not able to reproduce, I don't know how successful that could be.
Please give a try.

I figured out what is crashing the app.
This update worked it allowed me to open the app without crashing. All of the settings were reset to default upon opening.
I recustomized all the settings once I was done & closed/reopened the app again it started crashing on launch like before.
I went through the settings one by one & found the culprit:
'Runs file operations in a foreground service'
Once I toggle that setting it starts crashing upon launch. I will attach the crash logs again.
Dangit, you're right; Same here. For what it's worth: I'm running on a Pixel Tablet with the latest GrapheneOS image, not rooted either.

The last patch (1.63.1b6.2) finally resolved the issue for me.
It does not crash on launch anymore & toggling the setting does not crash the app.
I can confirm, working fine now :-)
