Can you disable GExperts using the GExperts Expert Manager and then restart the IDE and see if the problem stops? If it does not, the problem is probably elsewhere. If it does stop, we'll need to determine what specific configuration settings or other state is causing the issue, since this isn't happening to other Delphi 2007 users, as far as I know. You might also try disabling any similar experts, to see if it is a conflict between two addins. If the exception dialog has a Details button with a stack trace, that data might help. Two ideas to further narrow down the issue would be to quit the IDE, temporarily rename the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\BDS\5.0\GExperts-1.3" to "GExperts-1.3.save" and restart the IDE. If the problem stops, the problem is related to registry settings, and you can export and send us a copy of the registry settings. If that does not reveal the problem, go into the GExperts Configuration dialog, disable all experts, restart the IDE, and then try to exit it again. If that fixes the problem, enable half of the experts at once, restart and and exit the IDE again and see if you can determine if a specific one is causing the error. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: m227 (m227) Date: 2011-11-08 04:33 Message: Forgot to put real Exception dialog contents: Exception EInvalidPointer in module rtl100.bpl at 00006581. I press Enter but in Delphi XE grep windows not disappears. Window not have facus so Esc not work ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Erik Berry (eberry) Date: 2011-11-07 09:31 Message: There is no setting for that right now. It is something that would need to be added/coded specifically for this window. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: borneq (borneq) Date: 2011-11-07 09:24 Message: I use the Classic Undocked IDE, is more better. But isn't possible in Default Layout hide Grep Windows like hiding (^G) Procedure List or at least save focus on this window when press Enter? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Erik Berry (eberry) Date: 2011-11-07 09:10 Message: I understand that this behavior isn't ideal for everyone, but we have decided to follow the IDE conventions for this type of window. In the new docked IDE (Delphi 2005 and later) floating windows generally float on top of the main IDE window. You'll probably see that the IDE's undocked To Do list, IDE's undocked search results, etc. do the same. Some "workarounds" are to dock the grep results into the main IDE window, move the grep results to another monitor, use the Classic Undocked IDE saved desktop layout, etc. If you are desperate enough, you are welcome to try and edit the source to add an option to make it act how you want. While our web site is down, see here for help with our source code: http://web.archive.org/web/20110723231935/http://www.gexperts.org/devfaq.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: borneq (borneq) Date: 2011-11-07 07:04 Message: Using Delphi XE, GExperts 1.35, Wndows XP ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=116240&aid=3434530&group_id=16240 |

Category: General Group: Closed Status: Open Resolution: Fixed Priority: 7 Private: No Submitted By: Steve Faleiro (steve_goa) Assigned to: Erik Berry (eberry) Summary: Cannot save project after 'Replace components' command Initial Comment: Using: Delphi XE Update 1, GExperts 1.35, CnPack 0.9.9.621, Windows 7 64-bit In GExperts, after issuing the 'Replace Components' command, trying to save the project results in an AV and the project cannot be saved. The only way to proceed after this event is to quit without saving and then restart Delphi. Note that the components are replaced as expected. However when trying to save the Delphi project it shows the Access Violation error message. Could this be happening because I have CnPack also installed? Is there hope for a fix in the next release or in the source repositiory? Regards, Steve Faleiro ste...@ya... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Erik Berry (eberry) Date: 2011-11-05 04:34 Message: Thanks for your bug report. There is a limitation/bug in Delphi 2010 and XE where if you assign a Component.Touch property from one component to another and destroy the original component that the new component becomes corrupt (it isn't like component/interface references, where they either auto-correct themselves or are reference counted). For the moment, you can assign a bi-directional replace component property map from (for example) TPanel.Touch to TGroupBox.Touch that is marked as disabled, and that will work around this problem. Our next release will not try to assign that property any longer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=116240&aid=3433825&group_id=16240 |

That said, anyone that wants to is free to try and implement this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=366240&aid=923559&group_id=16240 |

I tested like this: - Start Delphi 2007 Dec Update - File, New VCL Win32 Forms Application - Focus the source code/text editor of the new unit on the Code tab (UnitX.pas) - Ctrl+F9 to compile the project - If the "Automatically close on successful compile" checkbox is checked, then after compilation finishes the editor automatically gets focus (down arrow key moves the cursor down, etc.) - If the checkbox is not checked, hitting enter to confirm the compile dialog then focuses the editor If you are able to provide more detailed steps or provide more information how to duplicate this, please let us know by posting an update here. I tested under Vista SP1. You might also try testing with any other IDE addins or mouse enhancement utilities disabled (DelphiSpeedUp, DDevExtensions, etc.), to see if there is some conflict there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=116240&aid=1918544&group_id=16240 |
