It seems that addtions/changes to CodeLibrarian (e.g. adding/editing snippets) are saved only when the IDE closes? Does this mean that if the IDE crashes after changes to CodeLibrarian have been made, these changes are lost? If yes, then please add a File menu item e.g. "Save now" to CodeLibrarian to save any changes to the database file!

Yes, that's what it means. Not sure whether a Save Now button is the solution here. Maybe the code window should be read only (as you already suggested) and editing should open a modal window instead. On the other hand modal windows seem to be out of fashion nowadays.

Don't be a "fashion-designer"! You are already a very good programmer! And yes, a modal window to edit the snippet would be ideal! (While the CodeLibrarian is ReadOnly). And please add the Save button. Thank you for your fantastic work!
