That said, _right now_ the default behavior is as you see, that is if you make a request in the right area but with improper TIME values you get a void image back. I believe your request sound reasonable but it might break existing existing clients. Anyway, if you file an enhancement request this might spawn some discussion with the other devs to see what we can do to achieve the requested behavior.
