[Geoserver-users] Group Layers and WMS capability

Hi,

Is there a way in Geoserver to "hide" sublayers that are part of a group 
layer in the WMS GetCapabilities response? Or even better, is there a 
way to advertise which layers are "child": layers in a group? The WMS 
spec allows for this via nested layer tags but the response returned by 
Geoserver flattens sublayers into individual layers. We are looking for 
a way to configure the server so that the nested structure is returned.
