Steve, We will soon be in your shoes, still in development for another week or so. We have put some thought into this and the best solution we have come up with is to not back it up. We will be pre tiling the layers we have before we go life. However in case a restore is needed we determined that it would take too long to so we will let the tiles be created on the fly. If you need to back up the tiles I would suggest a differential after the first full, this will alleviate some of the pressure. Regards, Charles E. Subject: [Geoserver-users] Tilecache Backups Hi All, We have a tilecache of about 5 million files on a Windows Server 2003, and are having trouble backing it up, not due to size, but due to number of files. Has anyone else run into this problem and have recommendations for solutions? Thanks, Steve Stephen Mather, GIS Manager Cleveland Metroparks 4101 Fulton Pkwy Cleveland, OH 44144 sv...@cl...
