Yes, gcj is not sufficient. For GeoServer 1.6.5 you need Sun JDK 1.4.2 , but newer versions will give you better performance. Please look for Fedora 4 guides, here is one: http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mjm-fedora-fc4.html . However, make sure you get the JDK, not the JRE. -Arne ps. please keep conversation on list.
