Initial Comment:
This patch add 2 new keyboard joystick...

1. Keyboard Cursor Keys:
   Move: Left, Up, Down, Right
   Fire: Insert, Home, PgU, Delete, End, PgD

2. Keyboard Keypad:
   Left: *, 9, 6, 3
   Up: 7, /, 5
   Down: 4, 1, 8, 2
   Right: -, +, Enter
   Fire: 0, .

The keypad joystick "emulate" some :-) qaop<space>
layout...

Not that different here on my Compaq M700: Insert etc. are
in a row to the right of F12. However, the keypad layout
seems somewhat useable given this keypad arrangement:

  7  8  9  *
   4  5  6  -
    1  2  3  +        Enter
     0     .  /
=>
  U  D  L  L
   D  U  L  R
    D  D  L  R        R
     F     F  U

Obviously, Num Lock needs to be enabled or you have to hold
down Fn ;-)

That they're not useable on a laptop keyboard seems to me to
be insufficient reason to exclude them, although maybe there
should be a laptop option which causes alternate layouts to
be used.

Not really: neither set are at all usable on my (Dell
Inspiron 5150) laptop. The keypad essentially doesn't exist,
and Home/Page Up/Page Down/End are vertically aligned
directly above the right arrow.

Ok, but the original "Keyboard joystic" usability is very
keyboard layout dependent and cover the normal QAOP[SP]
keys... So, the keypad and/or the cursor keys quite keyboard
layout independent and you could use the Spectrum QAOP[SP]
keys at the same time...

I'd rather do this by having one configurable keyboard
joystick where you can choose which keys to use rather than
lots (3 is lots :-) ) of predetermined types: they'll always
be someone who wants "just one more type".

More work I know...
