Pretty much what it says above - .BIN files should be listed as an auxiliary file so that they are selectable from the outset, rather than having to choose 'all files' every time.

Isn't that available since Fuse 1.5.7? The ChangeLog states:

GTK+/Win32: Add *.bin as an allowed filetype to file selectors and amend .fmf filetype (thanks, Allan Turvey) (Sergio Baldoví).
