is it possible to improve freeplane's type face? Maybe it's just something I need to configure on my computer but I find it hard to work with freeplane for a while.
About the type face, I dont really know what is, could you explain it a
little more?
Maybe its the type fonts?

Are you wanting to change the default font for nodes or change the font in the toolbar labels?
If default font --
find the standard template file you are using (Tools > preferences > environment tab > Files section > standard template file.
Then, back in FP, Tools > open user directory ... in windows explorer, open the Templates folder and open the standard template (found above in preferences).
With the standard template file open -- insert a node and change the font. Then Format > manage styes > redefine style.
Save the file to your user directory\templates using the standard template filename.
Future files should use the new font.
(lease forgive if I've misunderstood the problem. I'm not trying to be condescending.)

I use Linux: elementary os (based on Ubuntu 15.04) and the font is called „SansSerif“ in the dropdown menu.
How can I set the default font for alle Mindmaps? Is this possible?
