Your document sample looks well laid out and informative. Some people are bound to get more out of a page layout document than a mindmap. And vice versa. I wonder, however, if 2 "forks" -- a reference manual and Freeplane's F1 documentation map -- might fragment the overall community documentation efforts and possibly confuse users. Thanks. I tried it but now the script does nothing. This might give me the opportunity to dig deeper and try to figure out what your tweak is doing. I'd like to learn scripting but it quickly makes my head hurt. :)

Dimitry, The fix in FP 1.7.10 works great. Much easier to use a connector line for linking words between nodes. Thanks. I'll update my video.

Not being active in the documentation effort, I don't know how much this is worth. I think the tutorial map should resemble a typical mindmap rather than try to mimic a typical, linear -- though foldable -- top-to-bottom document (which is what I assume the current layout is supposed to be). I suggest changing it by (1) resetting all node positions (View > reset node position) and (2) changing the edge style to smooth curve.
